My Top 3 Priorities

  • ONE Redondo - Unifying all parts of Redondo Beach to create balanced decisions, transparency and engage the community as a whole.
  • Keep City Services Local - Provide a focus and fight to ensure our Police, Fire and City Services all remain under local control, including zoning.
  • Supporting local businesses, especially as we get back on our feet after the pandemic.  This will be priority #1. Public/Private relationships are needed more than ever now!

Biography

I have been a South Bay Resident for over 20 years, meeting and collaborating with people about what they want to see.  Initially, I was following the proposals and ideas for the AES Power Plant area but noticed many discrepancies in what we were told vs. truths about proposals.  This bothered me.  I didn't do enough back then, but when we had an initial plan proposed for our waterfront, I could not hold back.  I became a supporter of change, often challenging proposals by the selected vendor and working to bridge the gap between the community and CenterCal.  I believed and still do that we could have worked with them to come up with a solution that would be half way to completion by now.

With this under my belt, I began serving on the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) back in 2017.  We have been looking at ways to responsibly plan the future over Redondo Beach for the next couple of decades.  Beyond this, I had intended on serving on the Public Safety Commission but have been blocked by our current Mayor since he openly stated he would not appoint anyone to a commission that disagreed with his agenda.  Instead, I focused on doing what I could directly with RBPD, graduating from the Citizen's Police Academy and continuing to give back where I could.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I am not aiming for a political career and my philosophy can be best summarized as doing the right thing based on current information.  I do not believe in the ideologies of any single political party, but instead a blend of all.  Not by nature, but by definition.
