Los Alamitos resident, Emily Hibard, is a small business owner and non-profit organizational efficiency consultant.
Her family business has been manufacturing paper goods in Southern California for over seventy years and she is the author of three nonprofit books that help people start their own nonprofit organizations.
In addition, Hibard consult with existing organizations to ensure program efficiency and effectiveness.
Emily will be a relentless voice for business-friendly policies because Emily’s family has been manufacturing paper goods in Southern California for over seventy years.
Emily Hibard is running for the 70th Assembly District in Orange County to make our neighborhoods safe again and to use her personal experience to explain to the Sacramento politicians the harmful effect these “soft on crime” policies have on victims.
Public safety is personal for Emily.
In 1949, Her grandfather, a U.S. Marine, married her grandmother, a Mexican immigrant, and, together, started the family business in South Central Los Angeles.
By 1992, the family was forced to move our family business because of gangs, violence and riots.
It was Emily’s job to run around with the garden hose and put out the fires that happened when the Molotov cocktails got thrown at their family business and neighboring businesses.
Emily was only 12 years old.
Worse yet, as a young adult, she was robbed at a bank in Whittier, CA. So it is ingrained in Emily’s mind, how important it is to live in a safe neighborhood.
Emily Hibard is running for Assembly to make our neighborhoods safe again and to explain to the Sacramento politicians the harmful effect these “soft on crime” policies have on victims.
Specifically, Proposition 47 and 57 have given criminals the green light to commit crimes. Often times, they're released from jail only hours after they're arrested.
This has to stop!
Together, we can reverse these “soft-on-crime” policies.
Emily believes that her personal, first-hand accounts of the effect of crime, plus her relentless “pro-public safety” message will really be a thorn in the side of these career politicians and it will force them to moderate some of these dangerously bad ideas.

”I hope I can earn your support for my campaign for State Assembly. I know we can win the Primary Election on June 7, win the General Election in November, then go on to Sacramento and be a relentless advocate for public safety here in California!” - Emily Hibard
