Experiencia

Biografía

Marge Doyle is a native Californian and registered nurse who has worked in health care leadership for nearly forty years.  She currently holds elected office on the board of the Morongo Basin Healthcare District which was a result of her rural hospital in Joshua Tree was under threat of closing, due to imminent bankruptcy. She knew that if it did close, then people in her small rural community would be sicker or not have access to health care and be more likely to die if they had to travel the extra hour to get to a hospital. With nearly 4 decades of experience in healthcare management, she ran for a seat on the Healthcare District—and won. More importantly, she worked across the aisle to save the rural hospital, save the 600 associated jobs and avert bankruptcy. She not only prevented its closure, but they expanded services for their community and now the hospital has $15 million in reserves. With her demonstrated track record of success, Marge Doyl will do whatever she can to ensure that everyone has access to quality medical care.  In addition, she will protect Social Security and Medicare which every working American has paid into and these two programs are independent of

a registered nurse, and I’ve been working in health care leadership for nearly forty years. I currently hold elected office –serving on the board of the Morongo Basin Healthcare District. I came into that role because a number of years ago, my little rural hospital in Joshua Tree was under threat of closing, due to imminent bankruptcy. Refusing to let that happen, because if the hospital did close, then people in our community would be sicker or not have access to health care and be more likely to die if they had to travel the extra hour to get to a hospital. With  nearly 4 decades of experience in healthcare management, Marge ran for a seat on the Healthcare District—and won. Long story, short, she worked across the aisle to save their rural hospital, save the 600 jobs and avert bankruptcy. We not only prevented its closure, but we expanded services for our community and now the hospital has $15 million in reserves.

In addition, Marge reviewed the ACA in depth and developed a plan to fix the ACA which included how to save money and protect the coverage. Marge Doyle is committed to do whatever is needed to ensure that everyone has access to quality medical care in her district and across the country.

Filosofía política

Marge Doyle, RN brings a pragmatic approach to finding solutions to address the multitude of problems in the 8th District of California.  Her constituents needs and concerns are her number one priority and she will do what it takes to ensure that she represents her consitutents with transparency and accountability.  Marge will not only protect Social Security and Medicare which every working American has paid into, but will work hard to ensure that neither of these programs are tied to to the national debt. With a need for trade and vocational schools combined with the absence of a 4 year college in the District,  Marge will work together with educational institutions, industry leaders and community stakeholders to ensure that the next generation of leaders has access to the training and tools they need to be fully prepared for 21st century jobs.  Recognizing that Veterans served to protect our freedoms and uphold our Constituion, Marge will ensure that veterns have access to benefits and that each Veteran is cared for with the dignity and respect they earned for for their service.  As a rural district, internet, cell service and a viable infrastructure are necessary to attract new business and sustain our economy and Marge will work to improve these to expand opportunities across all sectors of the economy. As the 8th District is filled with millions of acres of pristine and irreplaceable public lands and water which are directly tied to the economy and thousands of jobs, Marge will fight to protect the mountains, lakes and forests from drilling and mining.
