Darren Parker is a long time Public Servant, visionary small business owner, and committed Father & Grandfather. He currently serves as a Special Assistant to California State Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. Darren and his wife have been married for 32 years and have 5 daughters and 5 granddaughters. He serves as a deacon at Livingstone Cathedral of Worship Church.
Darren Parker is the Chairman of the California Democratic Party’s African American Caucus and serves as the Los Angeles County Democratic Party Region 1 Secretary. He has also served on the Eastside School District Advisory Council, Antelope Valley Union High School District Advisory Council, Palmdale School District African American Advisory Council and is an AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) Community Liaison. Darren has raised funds to support safe schools, teen summits and "Increase the Peace Day" events. Additionally, Darren Parker served on the Quartz Hill Town Council, the Antelope Valley Human Relations Commission, the City of Lancaster’s Architectural Committee, the Antelope Valley College District Citizens Oversight Committee, the Antelope Valley Youth Build Advisory Board, and the Board of the Antelope Valley Hispanic Chamber Commerce. He was appointed by both Governor Gray Davis and Governor Jerry Brown to serve on the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds Board.
