California State SenateCandidate for District 29Newman Replacement

Bruce Whitaker
My Top 3 Priorities
- I pledge to defend all property owners by fighting special interests who seek to destroy protections provided by Proposition 13. This would result in dramatically higher property taxes. Real estate costs and rents are already too high.
- Persistent drought conditions are causing water shortages and scarcity. The State has failed to adequately plan and promote increased surface storage and groundwater supply sustainability, particularly for Southern California.
- Chief among challenges awaiting solutions at the state level is a massive unfunded pension liability with total pension debt nearing one trillion dollars on a Market Basis, or $76,884 per every household in California.

Over Taxation Unfunded Pension Liability Water Shortages
Chief among challenges awaiting solutions at the state level is a massive unfunded pension liability with total pension debt nearing one trillion dollars on a Market Basis, or $76,884 per every household in California.
Persistent drought conditions are causing water shortages and scarcity. The State has failed to adequately plan
and promote increased surface storage and groundwater supply sustainability, particularly for Southern California.
Our state government is too expansive, expensive and intrusive. I will vigorously fight new taxes, rate increases
and costly, excessive regulations. California’s future economic strength and competitiveness requires a leaner
more effective and efficient state government.
I pledge to defend all property owners by fighting special interests who seek to destroy protections provided by
Proposition 13. This would result in dramatically higher property taxes. Real estate costs and rents are already
too high. Every voter’s right to vote on taxes must not be infringed.
