I was born and raised in SoCal, but will happily live in DC to represent this district and nation. My husband and I will be celebrating our 23^rd anniversary together this upcoming July. We have two beautiful children, two pugs, two adopted cats and run a small business. I have 16 years of prior public service and elected governing experience and I have served proudly since 1998. I think we have come to see experience does matter.  I will continue serving in Congress with the same dedication, passion and commitment if elected.

I am a proud progressive, liberal candidate. I firmly believe in a political structure that builds from the bottom up, not top down. I uphold truth, honesty and integrity to be vital in our political system and believe the system should benefit all, not just the top 1%. And, the rule of law must always prevail in a democracy, or we fail as a democracy. Running for Congress is a calling to serve the public, and serve the country.  Fairness, decency and compassion should be the core of a candidates beliefs in order to serve the public, and what the public deserves
