These are the critical infrastrucure projects that have have had low priority compared to the Department of "Defense". We must conduct a thorough review of ALL military spending with emphasis on ALL overseas activities including military installations and logistics and make decisive and dramatic reduction of our overseas activities and redirect those saved funds to domestic projects.

Currently the system is designed for PROFIT and NOT genuine health care delivery.

During the healthy years the PRIVATE insurance companies provide coverage and as the population is older and requires more health care services, the responsibility is shifted to government programs.

The profits are secured for the insurance companies. Healthcare should not be a for profit business, rather a preventive and lifelong public service.

A policy that is inclussive and properly apportioned with fairness to regional countries, but one that includes avenues (of limited duration) to sustain urgent shortages of skilled professions .

Our compassion must be in the formula to include various unique and emergent needs faced by various groups.

California's water shortage and growing needs are not new. As our population has grown the infrastructure and support services did not keep pace. Future growth must be inclussive of these issues.

As a major food producer, California faces duak challenges on this issue and Federal programs could provide relief in cooperation with neighboring states to address this and other regional challenges.

As elected officials representing our great nation, we must lead by example. 

We are "involved" in far too many overseas military adventures and regime change operations both overt and covert. It is time to rethink that policy and redirect our overseas operations to be include civil project (such as the PEACE Coprs), engineering project, humanitarian projects and so on.

As examples of good deeds we will be role models for our people.

WE will work to decrease our military spending where currently 54% of our discretionary budget goes towards. 

WE will make sure that Wall Street pays its fair share. WE will work to incorporate a Financial Transaction Tax to ensure that no low-middle income wage earners pay more as a percentage of their income to taxes than higher income wage earners do:

     0.5% on Stocks

     0.1% on Bonds

     0.005% on Derivatives

     0.001% on all other Financial Securities

For example, in the LAST SEVEN business days of December, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) had $213,954,582,805 worth of Stock Trades. If there were a financial transaction tax of 0.5% on those stocks, that would equate to $1,069,772,914 worth of revenue generated to go towards education.

That could cover 66,092 undergraduate students going to Cal State University of Los Angeles (CSULA), and only 27,000 are enrolled per year! That could also cover 47,791 undergraduate students going to UCLA for a year.

AND that's only SEVEN DAYS worth of trading from ONE stock exchange.

Providing Medicare for ALL via Single Payer is what we should be aiming for and it is NOT a radical idea at all, especially since everyone else is doing it. How do those other countries pay for it? Well... they actually make the top 1% pay their fair share and don't have the bureaucracy of the Health Insurance industry.

We could pay for Medicare for ALL by increasing personal income taxes on top 5% income earners, an additional 2% tax on those who make more than $250,000 (2% of the population) in taxable income and a 6% premium on large billionaire multinational corporations. The rest of the funding needed would be through authorization of funds through the Federal Reserve. As stated, Single Payer would save $570 billion a year in reduced overhead, monopoly profits, and administrative costs from the bureaucracy we call the Health Insurance Industry. In addition, many Americans and small/medium sized businesses will be relieved in the long-run of the financial burden of providing and receiving healthcare coverage.

We are a nation of immigrants, and some of our most valued possessions came from the minds of immigrants. As Americans, we must be welcoming to those just like our parents, those that come from a past we will never fully understand, and those that just want to provide the best for themselves and their children. 

For those that want to come in this country with documentation, we commend you for working hard in your current country, saving up money in order to live the U.S. with Documented status. For the 11 million undocumented immigrants (3% of the U.S. population) who are here currently, we must allow them to come out of the shadows without fear of deportation and hefty financial penalties. Many have escaped from a country where war, crime, and poverty has overcome their homes, which we can take a part of responsibility through U.S. Imperialism, bad trade deals, and wars. We should be uniting families not separating them.

WE recognizes that it is very difficult for immigrants, documented and undocumented, under our outdated immigration system to become a U.S. Citizen and to come out of the shadows. We recognize that change can happen only from the bottom-up, and not from the top-down. With our election into Congress, we will mobilize millions of Americans of all races, especially the Latinx and Immigrant community to fight for the change they need one election at a time. These people will elect officials who recognize the importance of comprehensive immigration reform and will seek a welcoming path to citizenship.  

Water is a human right, not a commodity for private corporations to profit from. We will work to limit the privatization of water.

WE will expand water conservation efforts in drought-stricken states and invest in water conservation infrastructure and programs.

WE will invest in environmentally-friendly water infrastructure.

We believe that we need to change the way we teach. We believe that we need to introduce "Civility Courses" along with the basics of Language, Math, History, Science and the Arts. We need to ensure that our scholars learn how to respect/be tolerant of each other.  We need to focus on the importance of showing respect to others and to treat them as you want to be treated. We need to teach the value of life and the humanity of each other ... this is the only way we can gain peace and understanding amongst our youth, country and around the world. We believe that there is an importance in teaching kindness and peacefulness.
