My Top 3 Priorities
- FULLY FUNDING PUBLIC SCHOOLS: I am a mother and former PTA leader strongly supported by local teachers because I am committed to fully funding our public schools, expanding access to after-school programs, and making community college tuition free.
- STRONG NEIGHBORHOODS: I will strengthen our unique communities, by maintaining fast emergency response times, ensuring funding for safe roads for all users, incentivizing affordable housing and supporting law enforcement policies that increase trust.
- PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT: Earlier this year, I helped create the most ambitions climate action plan in San Diego County. I will fight to protect our coastlines, invest in renewable energy technologies, and keep our air and water clean.

Biography
I am a City Councilmember, former PTA leader, businesswoman, mother, and third-generation North County resident. Prior to my election to the Encinitas City Council in 2016, I served as a member of the city’s planning commission. Professionally, I have worked for global Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and higher education institutions. In response to my daughter’s struggle with sensory process disorder, I started a business designing sensory-friendly clothing for little girls.
I earned an A.B.D. in Political Science and a M.A. in International Studies from Claremont Graduate University Institute of Politics and Policy. I received my B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
My husband and I are the proud parents of two children.

My Top 3 Priorities
- Guaranteed Healthcare for All. SB 562, the Healthy California Act, will create a single-payer system that will cover every Californian regardless of income, improve overall access, lower individual costs, and reduce the burden on employers.
- We must solve California's housing emergency. Communities are stronger when we live where we work. Commuting accelerates climate change and takes a toll on our financial resources, our communities, our families, and our quality of life.
- Increased investment in K-12 public schools and public school teachers and a return to California's original promise of tuition-free college, trade or technical school. We must invest in our kids--not saddle them with crushing debt.
