Leticia Castillo is the daughter of immigrant parents who came to the US legally from Mexico for the American Dream. She has lived in the Home Gardens unincorporated area of Riverside County for over five decades. She attended all local schools and graduated from Corona College of Cosmetology and Buena Vista Vocational Educational High School in 1989 . Leticia attended Riverside Community College in the early 90’s and was on the Track and Field Team and is currently an avid runner. In 1995 she finally graduated with her Associate’s degree, while juggling working and being a mother.
Leticia worked for GTE/Verizon from 1995-2009 in all aspects of the company. Leticia went back to school in 2011 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Services Degree in 2013. She went on to National University where she completed her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a dual specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. She is currently a dual Licensed Clinical Therapist for the County of Riverside Department of Mental Health where she works with individuals who are experiencing the most severe mental health challenges.
Leticia is the youngest of six siblings, has one daughter, and five grandchildren and puts her faith in God to guide her through this race for CA State Assembly in District 58.
