My Top 3 Priorities

  • Skip has always prioritized his work in the local community. As the current County Supervisor for the 5th District, his main focus has been on pragmatic solutions for the needs of the 5th District and all of Solano County.
  • Skip has worked to save taxpayers money. He even volunteered to to decrease his own pay so that more money could be used where it matters most for public goods and services.
  • If re-elected, Skip will continue to support our Veterans, be fiscally responsible, and lead the charge in fighting the Governor’s Twin Tunnels plan to divert water from the Delta.

Skip Thomson currently serves as the District 5 Supervisor for Solano County. District 5 is the largest of the five districts in the county, covering Rio Vista, the Elmira area, and parts of Vacaville, Fairfield, and Suisun City.

Skip is married to his high school sweetheart, Gail. They have two sons, Brandon and Loren. Brandon is currently continuing his education, and Loren served in the California National Guard as an infantry officer in Iraq, receiving the Combat Infantry Badge. Loren is now a Deputy Sheriff for the Solano County Sheriff’s Department and lives with his wife Heather, also an Iraq veteran, in Vacaville. Skip's grandson Logan is four years old and enjoying preschool.
