My Top 3 Priorities

  • The top priority of the district at this time is the budget that was rejected by the County Office of Ed. We must have a budget that is financially sound.
  • The district does not properly monitor their contracts. One contract for $5.2 million was not only fully awarded but money actually paid out without any services or goods received. We need better oversight of our finances.
  • SCUSD has the highest in the state for suspensions of African American males. This is exclusionary discipline does not work and only alienates students from education resources.
