Joshua Hoover is a candidate for the Folsom Cordova Unified School District (FCUSD) Board of Education. A long time Folsom resident, his family moved to the area from the Central Valley in 1999.
Joshua serves as the Policy Director for California State Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, developing the Assemblyman’s annual legislative agenda and advising him on education issues. Throughout his time in the State Legislature, Joshua has worked on education reforms to expand access to technology in the classroom and ensure every child has the opportunity to receive a quality education.
Joshua is a member of the Russell Ranch Elementary PTA and serves on the Folsom Cordova Special Education Community Advisory Committee. As the father of a child on the autism spectrum, Joshua cares deeply about the integration and outcomes of kids with special needs.
Joshua is also a member of the Folsom Prison Citizens’ Advisory Committee, the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, and Folsom’s Leading Young Professionals (FLYP). His other community service activities include Leadership Folsom and volunteering with Lakeside Church.
Joshua earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and public policy from UCLA and a master’s degree in public administration from USC. He lives in Folsom with his wife Nicole and their three children Ayden, Addison, and Austin.
